Garden bed at City Hall

In front of South Miami City Hall, we are growing more than grass.  In June, Dennis Finnerin of Miami Kitchen Gardens donated a raised bed complete with excellent garden soil.  Mario Yanez planted a mix of heat-tolerant plants including eggplant, lemongrass, pineapples, strawberries and beans.  We are watching them grow through the summer.  In August, we added some marigolds and harvested eggplants.  The beans are coming along too.
