On June 12, 2010, Jack Parker, FIU emeritus professor, gave a public lecture for the South Miami Green Task Force on “Cities and Climate Change.”  He described the impact of CO2 emissions and habitat destruction in changing climate patterns across the globe, including increased temperatures and accelerating risks of ecological degradation.  He outlined strategies for reducing emissions and protecting air, water and natural ecosystems through remaking our buildings and cities.
